Identifying the Need for Sewer Line Repair

Many different issues may lead to a need for sewer line repair. Among the most common problems homeowners experience with their sewer lines is damage caused by tree roots that have grown into them. Tree roots can begin pushing sewer lines out of alignment as they grow into them, and may even cause the sewer lines to burst at their connection points.

However, other issues can lead sewer lines to burst over time. Older pipes can experience corrosion as their metal begins to oxidize, which can weaken them and lead them to break down unless the problem is taken care of before this happens. In addition to bursting, homeowners may also experience issues such as blockages in the sewer line. This can prevent wastewater from moving out of your home or building, which can result in numerous different issues.

Fortunately, there are a few things you can watch out for that can help you to identify when you may require sewer line repair. One common indicator of sewer line issues is when the water inside a toilet fluctuates regularly. You may also notice that the water has begun to drain much more slowly from sinks and tubs, which can be a clear sign of an issue such as a blockage somewhere in your system.

Other indicators to watch out for include soggy areas on your grass, often indicated by grass that has begun to grow greener than usual. Foundation problems are another sign you may need sewer line repair, in addition to foul odors and an increase in the number of pests around your property.

Installed new schedule PVC from kitchen with new cleanout access and washing washing machine, also with cleanout. Brought lines out with 2 pipe and connected with 3 to bring around to the front of the home. Yard service is 4 PVC and tied in directly with a combo and a slip coupling. No banded couplings on any of our replacement. The cast-iron combo is capped off in the wall at the kitchen and washing machine because the lines are still connected to the bathrooms on the other side of home.
