The Importance of Gas Line Testing

A faulty or damaged gas line can quickly lead to serious consequences, including various health problems along with hazards for your home or building. Because of this, it is easy to see why regular testing of the gas lines in your home or building is a necessity. One of the most common ways to check the integrity of your home or building’s gas lines is through gas line pressure testing. This is a process that helps to ensure your gas line is currently able to stand up to the normal amount of pressure when it comes to the gas moving through the line. If it’s time for you to schedule gas line pressure testing in Allen, TX or the surrounding area, the team at Thorough Plumbing can be there to lend a hand. Call 469-253-5530 today to learn more about this service.

What is Gas Line Pressure Testing?

Gas line pressure testing can be conducted in a number of different ways. During this test, your plumbing professional will pump air into the line until it is holding a chosen amount of air pressure. A gas line will usually be required to hold several times its everyday operating pressure – this will help to ensure it has the strength necessary to stand up to anything that comes through it.

Our team can be there to help if you are seeking gas line pressure testing. We offer this as a part of our wide range of gas line services so we can always be there to lend a hand whenever you believe you may be having problems with the gas lines in your home or building. Spit system, gas test to home from meter held for over 30 minutes without drop. Test from regulator to fixtures failed quickly. We were able to isolate the issue to the fire place line. Customer is using a electric false fireplace so we deleted the line from system. No actual repair or replacement is needed unless fireplace line is ever put back to use. Also, we relocated the cooktop connection so stove was able to be go up against the wall.
